Dear Taekwondo Community,

I am pleased to invite you to the 15th Annual Indy Cup Taekwondo Championships being held next month at Lawrence North High School on Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, April 18th. Located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, our venue is close to several excellent restaurants, hotels, the largest shopping mall in Indiana, IMAX movie theaters, and more!

Please remember that Indy Cup is a PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY event. No applications will be accepted at the door! The deadline for all Athletes, Coaches and Referee applications to be received by mail is Friday, April 9, 2010. You may type and print your applications out using this website prior to mailing by visiting this page. If you prefer to receive information by mail, please contact me here

We will have the Indy Cup 2010 list of competitors promptly available online this April.

This year marks our second year conducting the Indy Cup in a two-day format. All Color Belt Competition will be held on Saturday. All Black Belt Competition will be held on Sunday. We received a highly favorable response to this format which allows for a better quality event for the athletes. Each year we continually strive to provide the best experience possible which will prepare and enable athletes to excel at national and international events.

Indy Cup competition events will include Forms, Board Breaking, and Sparring for all ages and levels. Black Belt Sparring Competition for ages 14+ will be conducted in a double elimination format. Additionally, Forms competition for all ages and ranks will be conducted in a double elimination format with competitors competing head to head and advancing in the bracket.

For Black Belts, there will also be a WTF Competition Poomsae Division conducted using a modified World Poomsae Championships format. Division lists and competition information for Forms, Board Breaking, Sparring, and WTF Competition Poomsae is posted on this page.

We are also conducting an Improving Poomsae Performance Seminar on Saturday, March 20th at KTA in Indianapolis. Detailed information and an application for this seminar are available on this page. This seminar will provide an educational forum for all those interested in expanding their knowledge base and learning more about international poomsae competition format and performance as an athlete, coach and referee.

Be sure to mail in your tournament applications and fees so that they arrive no later than Friday, April 9th.
